Here are some of the projects we did in 2007-2008:
Created two videos used to prevent Underage Drinking. Click on the link to view "Teen Temptations." Please be patient, this movie takes a few minutes to download. It will be worth the wait! Make sure to have the speakers turned up.
Created a Meth Awareness and Education Presentation. Click on the link to view the Meth PowerPoint Presentation. Click on open in the File Download box. Presented to Youth and Adults in La Paz County on the risks of Underage Drinking by showing them our videos and various other activities
Presented to Youth and Adults in La Paz County on the risks of Meth Use by showing them our PowerPoint Presentation
Hosted various dances at the Players 9th Street Youth Center
Assisted the Chamber of Commerce with the Tube Float
Assisted the Tobacco Prevention Program in implementing their curricula in the schools
Assisted PAACE in assembling and distributing 371 backpacks to youth in La Paz County
Here are some of the projects we've done over the years:
Acquired a grant from the National 4-H Council to landscape the Bill Alcaida Memorial Skate Park and the Players 9th Street Youth Center
Raised over $3000 to purchase and install a giant shade awning to cover the children's playground at the Colorado River Regional Crisis Shelter
Raised over $1000 to purchase a dee-jay sound system for the Players 9th Street Youth Center
Adopted the Players 9th Street Youth Center Internet Lab and purchased over $2000 in new computer equipment
Collected dog & cat food for the Parker Animal Shelter when their supplies were running low in 2002
Raised money to support a family of six that was left jobless when fires engulfed Northern Arizona in 2002
Organizes and participates in several annual events at Players, including teen dances, Parker Safe Night, Back to School Bash and Red Ribbon Week
Sponsors an annual Parker Rodeo Stickhorse Race, a free event for kids ages 3-6
Participated in and sponsored several Red Ribbon Week 2003 events, including the annual Poster Contest, Essay Contest and Red Ribbon Door Decorating Contest at the five campuses in the Parker Unified School District
Assisted PAACE with the 2003 Parker Bikerfest, which raised over $2000 for the Players 9th Street Youth Center
Donated a $250 Wal-Mart gift certificate to a needy family in Parker during Christmas 2003
Purchased a new Air Hockey table for the Players 9th Street Youth Center in 2003
Purchased a new CD Player, Amplifier and dee-jay equipment for the youth center in 2004
Assisted the Parker Chamber of Commerce with the annual Parker Tube Float in 2004
