This is a sample of the core curriculum that is used in the Parent's sessions of the Strengthening Families Program. Some sessions may be combined/modified.

Session One

Introduction and Group Building

• Getting Acquainted --- meet the trainers and the other families in the academy
• Overview of Family Group --- outline the Family Group activities (i.e. Child’s Game: Family Communication Skills & Parent’s Game)
• Describe the Way Training Will Be Done --- the parent and the child will practice the skills after the group leader shows them how.
