PAACE has a unique perspective on kids through the many programs offered at the Players 9th Street Youth Center in Parker. PAACE believes that a successful kid grows into a successful, productive adult and we offer several programs that give kids a chance to learn, grow, succeed and contribute to their community. PAACE has created the "Youth Development Ladder" for kids ages 7-17, a comprehensive, activity-filled concept that allows area children to climb the ladder to success!

Players Afterschool Learning (PAL) is the first step in the Youth Development Ladder. PAL meets right after school every Monday-Thursday and is open to kids in grades 2-4. PAL kids get a nutritious snack, help with their homework and plenty of arts & crafts and fun activities! PAL is free of charge thanks to a grant from the Arizona Governor's Office for Children, Youth and Families. For more info, check out the PAL web page.

Kids in Parker can't wait until they're ten years-old so they can get a Players membership card. Only $3.00 per year, a Players membership card entitles kids ages 10-17 to access the many games and equipment available at Players, as well as participation in special events and free game days throughout the year! For more info on Players membership check out our membership web page.

When kids reach age 13, they can earn money through the Players Volunteen Program, which rewards teens with a $300 stipend for contributing 100 hours of service to the Players 9th Street Youth Center. Volunteens complete eight weeks of training and work service, which prepares them for the real-world job market. To sign up for the program or learn more about what it takes to be a Volunteen, visit the Volunteen web page.

The Volunteen Mentoring Program is a new job training/mentoring opportunity for former Volunteens who have showed initiative and leadership qualities while working at Players. Volunteen Mentors will work 293 hours at $5.15 per hour in a leadership/supervisory role, mentoring the more inexperienced Volunteens.
